Product listing policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy applies to every product factories publish on MENA Trade and is part of the Terms and conditions. Its purpose is simple: buyers should find information they can rely on when they send a request.
1. Who may list products
- Verified factories only. Products become visible to buyers once the factory is verified.
- List products you make, or that are made for you under your own brand or with written permission from the brand owner.
- Do not list other factories' products or resell them as your own.
2. Accurate and complete information
- The name and description must match the real product: specifications, size, weight, unit, minimum order, lead time and production capacity.
- Prices shown are real prices you honour in your quotes, and you can update them at any time. Fake "was" prices and discounts that are not real are not allowed.
- Do not claim a licence, certificate or standard (such as ISO, SASO or halal) unless it is valid and you can show it on request.
- Carton, weight and dangerous-goods data must be correct, because we use it in clearance and shipping requests.
- Choose the right industry, do not list the same product twice, and do not stuff names with unrelated search words.
3. Photos and files
- Clear photos of the actual product that you own or have the right to use. Up to 5 MB per photo; the number of photos depends on your plan.
- No phone numbers, email addresses or website links in photos or text. Buyers reach you through requests for quotation, and see your details with your quote.
- No logos or brands you do not own, and no photos copied from other factories.
4. Banned products
The following may not be listed in any form:
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their parts, and fireworks.
- Drugs, psychotropic and controlled substances without a licence.
- Alcoholic drinks and pork products.
- Counterfeit goods, or goods that infringe someone else's intellectual property.
- Stolen goods or goods of unknown origin.
- Hazardous waste and radioactive material.
- Live animals and human organs.
- Anything banned by the law of the factory's or the buyer's country, or subject to sanctions or export controls that prevent its sale.
5. Products that need a licence
You may list the following if your factory holds the required licence or registration and uploads it under "Documents" when we ask:
- Food and drinks, cosmetics, medicines and medical devices (for example a food and drug authority registration).
- Chemicals, dangerous goods and pesticides: tick "Dangerous goods" on the product and have the safety data sheet ready.
- Electrical and electronic products and telecom equipment that need a certificate of conformity.
- Tobacco products and precious metals.
6. "Made in" badge
A "Made in" badge (such as "Made in Saudi Arabia") appears only after we check the certificate of origin or national product mark the factory uploads. Do not put these words in product names or photos before that.
7. Review and enforcement
- Our team checks new and changed products, usually within 2 working days of publishing.
- If a product breaks this policy, we may ask you to change it, hide it until it is fixed, or remove it.
- Repeated or serious breaches (such as banned or counterfeit goods) may lead to account suspension under the Terms, without a refund of the subscription.
- To report a product, write to us through the contact form with a link to it.
8. Responsibility
Each factory is responsible for its products meeting the laws, standards, labelling and export rules of the countries it sells to. MENA Trade connects factories with buyers and is not a party to the sale.
