Welcome to MENA Trade (mena-trade.com), an online B2B platform that connects factories, buyers, customs clearance companies and shipping companies in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The platform is operated by Vlumu Digital, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ("we", "us"). By using the platform or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Accounts

  • Accounts must be registered for an existing company or establishment, by a person authorised to represent it and aged at least 18.
  • You must give accurate, complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password safe.
  • We may refuse any registration or ask for more documents without giving reasons.

2. Verification

We review the commercial registration and the relevant licence (industrial, customs broker or transport licence) before a company appears in the catalog or can send quotes. Verification means we have seen the documents submitted at the time of review. It is not a guarantee of a company's products, services, financial standing or delivery.

3. Our role

  • MENA Trade is an online intermediary for listing products, posting requests for quotation, shipping and clearance requests, and exchanging quotes. We are not a party to any sale, transport or clearance agreement made between users.
  • Buyers pay the factory or service provider directly on the terms they agree. The platform does not hold buyer funds and takes no commission on orders.
  • Each party is responsible for checking the other party, agreeing price, quality, delivery and payment, and complying with customs, tax, import and export rules.

4. Subscriptions and payment

  • Buyers use the platform free. Factories, clearance and shipping companies can use a free listing or a yearly paid plan in US dollars, as shown on the plans page.
  • Plans are paid yearly in advance by card through Stripe. 15% VAT is added for companies in Saudi Arabia. A plan starts as soon as payment goes through and runs for 12 months.
  • Plans do not renew automatically. We send reminders 30 and 7 days before the end date; after that the company returns to the free listing.
  • Payments are non-refundable, as set out in the refund and cancellation policy.
  • We may change prices in the future. A change does not affect a paid plan until it ends.

5. Your content

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information, products, photos, prices and quotes you publish, and for having the right to publish them.
  • You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display this content on the platform and in its catalog to run and promote the service.
  • We may hide or remove any content, request or quote that we believe breaks these terms or the law.

6. Prohibited use

  • Listing prohibited or restricted goods or services without a licence, or misleading or fake information.
  • Pretending to be another company or person, or using contact details revealed through the platform for anything other than that request.
  • Sending fake or non-serious quotes to obtain buyers' contact details, or writing dishonest reviews.
  • Scraping user data, or trying to break into or disrupt the platform.
  • Getting around plan limits or sharing an account beyond the users the plan allows.

7. News and outside content

The industry news section shows headlines and short summaries from the official websites of the ministries of industry of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, with a link to the source; that content belongs to its owners. We are not responsible for the content of outside websites.

8. Intellectual property

The MENA Trade name, logo, design and software belong to us and may not be copied or used without written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

  • The platform is provided "as is", without guarantees about the outcome of any deal or uninterrupted service.
  • We are not liable for loss or damage arising from dealings between users, shipping delays, quality of goods or commercial disputes.
  • In any case, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or gives false information or documents, without refunding any payment. You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact form.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time and will publish the new version on this page with its date. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of Riyadh have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless a mandatory law says otherwise.
